Our Story

Some of my best memories began with my family loading up the old wood-paneled station wagon and heading straight for the beach. We’d park right on the sand, kick off our shoes, and spend the entire day splashing in the ocean, digging our toes into warm sand, and laughing with siblings and cousins until the sun went down.

As I grew older, the beach kept calling — spring breaks, long weekends, summer escapes with friends…especially my bride.  We shared the same love for the beach and later shared it with our children…and now our grandchildren.

Somewhere along the way, we finally found a name for the lifestyle we kept returning to over and over again.  We called it the “Sand Life”.

Like so many beach lovers, we dreamed of waking up to that feeling every day. Even though life didn’t put us permanently on the shoreline, we wanted a way to carry the beach with us — the memories, the peace, the joy, the freedom.

So, we designed the Sand Life logo as a symbol of what the beach means to us and to remind us of two important things worth remembering:

The front footprint — the adventures still ahead.

The back footprint — the memories that shaped us.
